The Whale Tattoo is Jon Ransom's debut novel, released in 2023.

This short film was commissioned by Rural Media, Hay Festival and Arts Council England to celebrate the novel at Hay Festival 2023.

The short film is an extract of the text performed by an actor, with accompanying moving image and sound.
